Castle Bruce-based club Valvoline WE United FC has notched up its 5th win in as many outings with an emphatic win on Friday evening at the Stock Farm Sports Complex. In their final preliminary Group A match in the 2022 DFA Patrick John Cup, WE United got two goals each from four different players as they easily brushed aside Island Gemz Jimmit Ballerz FC by nine goals to nil. Cheston Prosper, Derron James, Jahlil Alexander, and Trai Douglas each netted twice. Ashwan Hill added the other goal. With the win, WE United FC secured the top spot with 15 points. Sagicor South East FC and DS FC are the other automatic qualifiers in the group.
The other clubs participating in the group include, Derby Boyz FC and Do it Center Might Avengers FC. There is only one game left in the group and that will be contested between Sagicor South East FC on 9 points and the winless Derby Boyz FC.
In one of two matches carded for Saturday, 16th July 2022, Promex Harlem United will take on Police Sports Club from 4 pm at the Stock Farm Sports Complex. In the other scheduled encounter, South Dominators FC will take on LA Enterprises Bombers FC from 4 pm at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth in a Group C encounter.
