United Progressive Party (UPP) holds first public meeting

The newly formed United Progressive Party (UPP) held its first public meeting in the Kalinago Territory over the weekend.

Joshua Francis a member of the UPP told Nature Isle News (NIN) that he was satisfied with the turnout at the meeting and the message was well received.

“We decided to go to the Kalinago Territory for this meeting and we are pleased with the turnout,” Francis said.

Francis, a well-known attorney at law is also a qualified economist and a former member of the Dominica Parliament, took time out to address the meeting on the party’s plans. He also spoke about the issues dealing with “the international airport project and the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) management of the Dominican economy.”
