The opposition United Workers Party (UWP) will on Sunday, December 12, 2021, host its annual delegates conference.
General Secretary of the party Nicholas George has confirmed that it will be done “virtually and at four static locations.”
“These arrangements are in place to allow the party to adhere to the structures and rules set out by the Ministry of Health and in conformity to the COVID-19 guidelines,” he stated.
George explained that at that delegates conference, the executive positions within the party’s leadership will all be vacant.
“People will be nominated to fill each and every one of these vacancies. At the end of the conference, the party will have an elected executive to govern the party and lead it into the next year,” George said.
