
Police are reporting a burglary that occurred in the evening of January 25, 2026, at the home of the Redemptorist Missionaries residing in Belfast, Mahaut.
According to a report, on the evening of January 25, 2026, just past 8 pm, four unknown assailants entered the building in Belfast Mahaut that belongs to the Redemptorist Missionaries, tied up those who were present, took the Sunday collections, stole a vehicle, and made good their escape.
Brother Rolle and Fr Dennis were tied up, and Fr Dennis, who is holding on for the priest in St Joseph, is reported to have been struck. Fr Cuffy was in his room during the time of the attack.

Brother Rolle, who resides at the home, was able to free himself up and then went to the Mahaut Police Station, making a report to the police, who are now actively investigating the matter.
