Benefit game yields over 9 grand for medical expenses for Creole icon

Two benefit football matches held at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12, 2020, have yielded over nine thousand dollars for the medical expenses of prominent Creole icon Felix Henderson.

Henderson has been ill for some time and was flown to Martinique for urgent medical attention recently.

Last week, hundreds parked the stadium in the benefit games to raise funds and from all reports, it was a great success.

According to Cecil Joseph manager of DBS radio who teamed up with Signman, the Nature Boys Football team Inc, the Dominica Football Association (DFA), and others for the benefit games, it met its target.

Grace Henderson is the daughter of Felix Henderson; she thanked the Dominican public for their kind gestures and contributions on behalf of her dad.

The money $9,135.00 was given to Grace Henderson on behalf of her dad.

Meantime, a book launch on Friday, October 16, 2020, dubbed “an autobiography of a Dominican Icon Felix Henderson” will be launched at the Public Service Union (PSU) building from 5:30 pm.
