Cheston Dangleben hit a superb century as the Police Sports Club registered an emphatic victory over the Hurricanes on Saturday in the 2020 Dominica Cricket Association’s Intermediate League.
Hurricanes batted first and hit 164 for 8 in the match which was reduced to 25 overs. Malakai Xavier was the top scorer with 68 runs. Adrien Matthew chipped in with 36.
Bowling for Police, Keleb Challenger was the pick of the bowlers taking three for 11.
Chasing a victory target of 165, Police reached 165 for one in 19.5 overs to win by nine wickets. Dangleben was the man of the moment with a stroke filled 110.
In another encounter played at the weekend, Gladiators defeated Northern Stars by 76 runs at Benjamin Park. Gladiators batted first and reached 165 with Fabien Etienne getting 31.
In reply, Northern Stars could only reach 89. Emanuel Nanthan scored 22. Clement Marcellin took two for nine bowling for the Gladiators.
