Petro Caribe Pointe Michel FC finished its quota of matches in the preliminary round of the 2022 Dominica Football Association President’s Cup.
In their final Group C encounter on Wednesday evening at the Stockfarm Sports Complex, Pointe Michel FC cruised to an easy and comfortable win over South Dominators FC.
National player, Marcus Bredas converted in the 53rd and 90th minutes of play in the six goals to nil success. Former national player Randolph Peltier also scored two goals. He found the back of the net in the 63rd and 85th minutes of play. Dylan Carlisle and Kieran Peltier scored one goal each in the 28th and 54th minutes of play respectively.
With the win, Pointe Michel finished the group stage in second place with 12 points from 5 games. The group won by Sagicor South East FC, with a maximum of 15 points from their five games.
On Tuesday evening, Exodus FC easily brushed aside Kensborough United by seven goals to nil at the Stockfarm Sports Complex. Ordel Robin netted a hat trick with his goals coming in the 25th, 33rd, and 43rd minutes of play. Omar Phillip, Khima Phillip, Tariq Morvan, and Camron Laudat scored a goal each.
The action will continue this evening at the Stockfarm Sports Complex.
Teams to vie for the championship spot
Four teams will go in search of a spot in the 2022 Element Agencies Guinness Domino League. The semifinal will slam off tonight at the Twilight Bar at Woodbridge Bay in Fond Cole.
One encounter will feature Golden Arms of Soufriere against Alley Boys. The other encounter will be contested between One Love and Rebels. Both encounters are expected to be keenly contested since the teams boast a number of accomplished and informed domino players. Both matches will begin at 6:30 pm
The winners of both matches will meet in the championship encounter this weekend.
