Several footballers to play for new clubs

As the Dominica Football Association ( DFA’s) Premier Division competition gets set to resume this weekend, several players will be suiting up for new clubs.

A total of 15 players took advantage of the June transfer window which ran from 1st -30th June, 2020.

Among those who have successfully met the transfer, the deadline are four foreign-based players who have been plying their trade with clubs in Trinidad and Antigua.

Reon Cuffy, who plied his trade in Antigua earlier this season for All Saints United FC, will return to play for his old club, newcomers East Central FC.

Ajaya Royer will return to the former champions Central Cooperative Credit Union LTD Dublanc FC after a stint with Cunupia FC in Trinidad. Also returning to local football are national players Donan Jervier and Erskin Williams. Jervier and Williams will are expected to be in the lineup for Harlem FC and Bombers FC respectively, after being transferred from Trinidadian club, Cunupia FC.

Other players making the move during the transfer window are Erik Jno Baptiste, Cuthbert Dupuis, and Jean-Marque Fontaine. The trio parted ways with Happi Bath Estate FC and will now join Middleham United FC.

Troy Seraphine and Shannon Stoute have made the move from East Central FC to WE United FC.

Ajahlie Etienne will now wear Dublanc FC colours after a stint with Itassi United FC. Devon Bruno will play for his new club, Middleham FC, having left BAA Sharks FC.

Tarish United FC will no longer enjoy the services of Brendon Weekes after the player made the move to Mighty Avengers FC.

Sagicor South East will benefit from the services of Aeron Prince having made the move from RC Doctors FC.

Daniel Pendengue, who left Sagicor South East FC, will now suit up for LA Star FC.

The football action will resume this weekend with three matches in the Premier Division after been suspended in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
