Thea Lafond has qualified for the finals of the Women’s Triple Jump at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games in Japan.
She did so with an impressive jump of 14.60 to set a new national record in her first jump. The automatic qualifying mark was 14.40 meters.
Lafond breezed into the finals needing just one of her 3 allowed jumps to meet the qualification mark.
The finals of the women’s Triple Jump will be held on Sunday.
