The Ministry of Sports, Culture and Community Development will on Sunday, June 6, 2021 host the Commissioning Ceremony for the Hard Courts at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium forecourt.
Three hard courts have been constructed at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium forecourt to cater for Netball/Volleyball, Basketball, and Tennis. The courts which are fitted with modern equipment, movable stands, and LED lighting are expected to serve as a recreational facility for the Roseau Central area and also host national sporting events.
At Sunday’s ceremony, addresses are expected to come from the Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, the Minister of Sports, Culture and Community Development, Ms. Roselyn Paul, and the Parliamentary Representative for Roseau Central, Mrs. Melissa Skerrit. The ceremony will commence at 3:00 p. m. and will take place at the forecourt of the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
Following the Commissioning, the Opening of the National Netball League will begin with a ball-o-rama amongst the participating teams.
