Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

A weak high-pressure system is the dominant feature across the area resulting in light winds and a relatively dry atmosphere with a few localized early morning and afternoon showers. Pockets of moisture are expected to produce a few cloudy spells across the area mainly during the early morning and afternoon period.

Slight to moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours with waves peaking to 5.0ft. An increase in northerly swells can be expected by Thursday.

Please note that a greater degree of cloudiness, more frequent rainfall and higher rainfall amounts are normally experienced across the east coast and interior of Dominica.
