Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

A mid to upper-level trough is expected to affect the area within 24 to 48 hours. This will result in generally cloudy and breezy conditions, with showers that could be moderate to heavy at times and a chance of isolated thunderstorms, particularly over the southern portion of the Lesser Antilles. A relatively moist and unstable weather atmosphere is likely to linger into Friday.
A FLOOD WATCH is in effect until 12 noon today. Flash flooding is possible during this period. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks particularly in eastern communities should be vigilant.
Moderate to rough seas are anticipated during the next 48 hours, with waves peaking to 10ft along the eastern coast. A Small Craft Warning is in effect. Small craft operators and sea-bathers should stay out of the water.
