Unstable conditions associated with the passage of Tropical Storm Grace are expected to result in an increase in cloudiness with a few showers and a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms across the island, during today. By tonight, a relatively dry atmosphere can be expected as a high pressure system will begin to establish itself across the area.The Flood Warning for Dominica has been discontinued as of 6am. However, people in areas prone to landslides and falling rocks should continue to exercise caution.
Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 8.0ft along the northern to north-eastern coastline today. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for above normal seas. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
Please note that a greater degree of cloudiness, more frequent rainfall and higher rainfall amounts are normally experienced across the east coast and interior of Dominica.
