Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles
Valid from: 6:00 AM on Wednesday, August 25, 2021
A high-pressure system is expected to remain dominant across the northern half of the Lesser Antilles, including Dominica during the next 24 hours, resulting in a relatively dry and breezy atmosphere with only isolated showers. Meanwhile, a reduction in moisture levels can be expected across the islands to the south. Another tropical wave can be expected to move across the area by late Thursday.
An increase in dust haze concentration will persist across the area during the next 24 hours. People with respiratory sensitivities should take all precautions to avoid complications.
Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 7.0ft.
Please note that a greater degree of cloudiness, more frequent rainfall, and higher rainfall amounts are normally experienced across the east coast and interior of Dominica.
