Forecast for Today and Tonight:

Partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy and hazy with isolated showers

Wind: Easterly to South easterly @ 10 to 25 km/h

Sea Conditions: Moderate in open water

Waves: 1.5 to 2.0 meters or 5.0 to 7.0 feet.

Warning/Advisory: A High Surf Advisory is in effect for swells along the eastern coast

Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Valid from: 6:00 AM on Thursday, October 14, 2021

A high-pressure system is expected to be dominant across the island, during the next 24 hours. Occasional cloudiness with a few, brief showers are expected. Meanwhile, weak instability is expected to continue affecting the northern portion of the Lesser Antilles.

A slight increase in moisture is expected resulting in scattered showers, late tonight and into tomorrow, as a tropical wave approaches the area.

An increase in dust haze concentration is expected during the next 24 hours resulting in a reduction in visibility and air quality. People with respiratory sensitivities are advised to take all precautions to avoid complications

Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours with swells peaking to 7.0ft. A High Surf Advisory is in effect for above normal seas on the eastern coast. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
