Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Valid from 6:00 AM on Friday, October 22, 2021

A high-pressure system is expected to result in breezy conditions across the area, during the next 24 hours. Patches of low-level clouds moving with the wind flow could result in occasional cloudiness and scattered showers mainly during the overnight and early mornings. Meanwhile, a tropical wave is expected to affect the southern portion of the island chain.

Dust haze is projected to linger across the area during the next 24 hours resulting in reduced visibility and air quality. People with respiratory sensitivities are advised to take the necessary precautions.

Moderate to rough seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 10.0ft on the eastern coastline. A Small Craft Warning is now in effect. Small craft operators should exercise extreme caution. Sea-bathers should stay out of the water.
