The center of Potential Tropical Cyclone #6 is now in the Caribbean Sea and the disturbance could become a tropical storm this morning. The system is expected to continue affecting the area today. Periods of moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected particularly during the afternoon, as a rain band is expected to move across the island chain. A Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect for Dominica until 8 am.

The Flood Warning has been downgraded to a Flood Watch. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are to remain vigilant.

A high-pressure system is expected to become dominant on Wednesday resulting in a reduction in shower activity while a tropical wave is projected to affect the area by Friday.

Moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours with waves peaking to 8.0ft today on the east coast. A Small Craft Advisory is now in effect for above normal seas. Small craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution.
