Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles
Valid from: 6:00 AM on Monday 10 February 2025
A high-pressure system has established itself across the area resulting in breezy conditions. However, patches of low-level clouds moving westward with the wind flow are expected to result in periods of cloudy skies with light to moderate showers during the next 24 hours. Wind speeds are forecast to increase and remain strong throughout the week.
Sea conditions will moderate over the next 24 hours, with wave heights reaching up to 8 feet in open waters along the northern and eastern coastlines. From Tuesday into the rest of the week, wave heights will increase further, peaking near 10 feet. Small-craft operators and all sea users are advised to exercise caution and take necessary safety measures. A small craft warning will be in effect by Tuesday.Â
