Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Valid from: 6:00 AM on Thursday, July 11, 2024

Weak unstable conditions generated by the passage of a low-level trough can be expected to result in increased cloudiness with an increased chance of showers across the area today.

Thereafter, a tropical wave approaching the area is projected to generate cloudiness, scattered showers, and possible isolated thunderstorms by late Friday evening. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks are advised to be on alert and to exercise caution.

A varying concentration of dust haze is expected over the next few days. People with respiratory sensitivities are advised to take the necessary precautions to avoid complications.

Slight to moderate seas can be expected in open water with waves peaking near 7ft during the period.
