Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Valid from: 6:00 AM on Monday, July 15, 2024

A low-level trough is expected to result in unstable conditions across the area today. This is expected to generate occasional cloudiness with scattered showers and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks are advised to exercise caution. A relative reduction in moisture levels can be expected by tonight.

An increase in dust haze concentration can be expected to be maintained resulting in a reduction in visibility and air quality. People with respiratory sensitivities are advised to take the necessary precautions to avoid complications. Fisherfolks are advised to use the necessary navigation devices for safety when venturing out to sea due to reduced visibility.

Slight to moderate seas can be expected in open water with waves peaking near 5ft during the period.
