Nigerian national Osarumwense Ibuze has been jailed for 7 years after he pleaded guilty at the Magistrate’s court in Roseau on July 7, 2023, for possession and trafficking of drugs.
Brief Facts
Ibuze was intercepted at the Ferry Terminal in Roseau trying to go out of Dominica, by customs on July 2nd, 2023.
He appeared suspicious on his arrival at customs and was taken for a body scan at hospital Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH), which revealed a number of foreign items inside him.
Whilst at the Hospital, all the pellets containing the alleged cocaine were expelled by him from his body and totaled 81. He was handed over to the police for investigation and was officially arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking. He pleaded guilty at his first court appearance and was sentenced to seven (7) years in jail by the Magistrate.
So our tax money has to support him in our jail? What is our benefit in that? As far as I am concerned, he should just be deported one time and finish with that
