  1. The Government of Dominica, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green
    Economy has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Emergency
    Agricultural Livelihoods and Climate Resilience Project, and intends to apply part of the
    proceeds toward payments under the contract Construction of the National Abattoir.
  2. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy intends to initially select
    Applicants for the Design and Construction of the New Abattoir at Layou Park in the parish
    of St. Joseph, Commonwealth of Dominica. The Consultant will provide cadastral and
    topographical surveys, geotechnical, architectural, engineering, and construction services
    for the facility. The scope of the assignment work will include: surveys of the existing
    site’s bounds, infrastructure, systems, and services; preliminary and final designs;
    preliminary and final cost estimates; working drawings; bills of quantities; technical
    specifications; technical documents and equipment, appliances and furniture schedules for
    the facility and construction works: It is expected that the Request for Proposals will be
    made in August 2023.
  3. Initial Selection will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World
    Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers July 2016 revised November 2017,
    August 2018 and November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible
    Applicants as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  4. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the Emergency
    Agricultural Livelihoods & Climate Resilience Project, Project Implementation Unit, at
    the address below during office hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays and 8:00 a.m. to
    4:00 p.m. Tuesdays to Fridays. A complete set of Initial Selection documents in English
    may be requested by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to
    the address below. The document will be sent by email
  5. Applications for Initial Selection should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes and
    delivered to the address below by 3:15 p.m. on July 20, 2023. Late applications may be
    rejected.
