Another Dominican appointed as a High Court Judge

Experienced Dominican lawyer Heather Felix Evans has been appointed to act as a High Court Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court from November 1, 2022, to January 31, 2023, and assigned to the Territory of the British Virgin Islands (BVI).

That appointment was made by the Chair, of the Judicial and Legal Services Commission.

The Commission has also appointed Thomas W.R Astaphan KC as an acting Judge from November 1, 2022, to January 31, 2023, and assigned them to the BVI. Both are very experienced lawyers.

Heather Felix Evans has been in private practice for many years and has been the president of the Dominica Bar Association.

She joins Dominican Justice Wynatte Adrien-Roberts as the other female Dominican on the Bench. Nature Isle News (NIN) extends congratulations to Justice Heather Felix-Evans on her new appointment and wishes her God’s guidance and protection.
