The High Court has granted bail to United States National Jason James Grogg who is facing several customs-related charges.
Grogg was denied bail by the Magistrate’s court and his lawyer Jilane Prevost from the Chambers of Prevost and Prevost filed for bail at the High Court.
Upon hearing the application Justice Thomas Astaphan granted bail in the sum of $50,000.00 with two sureties.
The applicant is to report to the St. Joseph Police Station on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 7 am and 7 pm, keep the peace and must reside in St. Joseph, and surrender his travel documents.
The State was represented by Marie-Louis Pierre Louis and Daina Matthew.
