A police source has confirmed that one individual Wilson Wade succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained in Fond Cole last evening during a shooting incident that was carried out by a masked man at about 10:45 pm.
According to information obtained by Nature Isle News (NIN), two others were injured and are presently warded at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH).
Acting Inspector of Police Fixton Henderson in a release to the media stated that “three Fond Cole men were sitting on a headwall over a culvert at Glasgow in Fond Cole when they were attacked and shot at by a male individual.”
“Wilson Wade male 25 years old, Sylvester Aabib male 37 years old, and Dylan Francis male 29 years old received multiple gunshot wounds. The men were transported to the emergency department of the DCFH, Wade was examined and pronounced dead by a medical doctor,” he said.
He also on behalf of the police force in Dominica expressed sympathies to the family of the deceased Wade and speedy recovery to the two men at the hospital nursing gunshot injuries.
