PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD – 30th March 2024 – The inaugural Trinidad and Tobago Disaster Risk Management (TTDRM) Conference and Expo 2024 has received crucial endorsements from key disaster management agencies. The Conference is officially supported by the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM), the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, and the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA), along with the backing of AMCHAM Trinidad and Tobago.
Taking place from June 3rd-5th, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency in Port of Spain, TTDRM 2024 will provide a vital forum for stakeholders across public and private sectors and NGOs to address disaster risk reduction challenges facing Trinidad and Tobago. The conference is designed to enhance collaborative efforts and foster partnerships between government, businesses, NGOs, and communities for more efficient disaster preparedness and response.
Additionally, the conference will seek to foster innovation by exploring new technological advancements in emergency management technologies and best practices for disaster risk reduction. One of the expected outcomes will be to build a more resilient nation by developing actionable strategies to boost infrastructure resilience, strengthen early warning systems, and protect vulnerable populations.
