PRESS RELEASE
Roseau, Dominica – April 17, 2026- The United Progressive Party (UPP), under the leadership of Joshua Francis, expresses its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Ian Pinard, former government minister and recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Dominica Air and Seaport Authority, following his sudden and untimely passing.
Mr. Pinard served the people of Dominica with dedication and distinction in various capacities over the years. His willingness to answer the call to national service, including his recent appointment to lead DASPA, reflected his continued commitment to contributing to the nation’s development and progress.
His passing is a profound loss not only to his immediate family but also to the wider Dominican community. In times like these, we are reminded that service to country transcends political lines, and we honor all who have contributed meaningfully to the life of our nation.
On behalf of the United Progressive Party, we extend our sincere sympathies to his family during this period of grief. We pray that they will be comforted by the outpouring of support and by the lasting legacy of his service.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
