A 21-year-old female from the community of Bense and her boyfriend are in police custody assisting them in the discovery of two high-powered rifles and several rounds of ammunition
According to Superintendent of Police, Richmond Valentine, “On December 1, 2021, members of the Task Force Unit, Drug Squad, and Special Service Unit (SSU) conducted a search on the premises of Francian Joseph of Bense which resulted in a seizure of two AR 15 rifles and 90 rounds of ammunition.”
The boyfriend was not present when the search was conducted by the police. However, after conducting an interview with the female, and based on the information given, her boyfriend became a person of interest.
Nature Isle News (NIN) can confirm that the boyfriend through his lawyer surrendered to the police on Thursday, December 2, 2021.
Customs are also part of the investigations in the matter and are expected to prefer charges in violation of the Customs Act.
The police are also investigating an alleged case of “kidnapping” and two persons are now assisting them in their investigations.
The only people those guns should be used on are those criminals in high office robbing the country!!!
