Tragedy has struck as members of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) have lost two of its members.
First, they got the news of a dreaded traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a car which claimed the life of police constable Philbert Williams.
According to reports, Williams was riding his motorcycle heading southbound and collided with a red car near the building which formerly housed the Dominica Banana Marketing Corporation (DBMC).
His motorcycle was extensively damaged and he was pronounced dead on the scene by a medical doctor.
And, as if that was not enough, they got the dreaded news that corporal of police Ryan Shillingford who was flown to Martinique for urgent medical attention a few weeks ago had died.
Corporal Ryan Shillingford is the son of accountant Roy Shillingford and was stationed at the Roseau Police Station in-charge of stores.
Nature Isle News (NIN) extends condolences to members of the CDPF and to family and friends of both men.
