John Fitzgerald Edward Registe died suddenly on September 1, 2021, at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital mere hours after he complained of feeling unwell and was admitted.

At the time of his passing, he was fifty (50) years old and held the post of Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business, and Diaspora Relations.
