Team Unity Dominica (TUD) is concerned about the mere thought of the sale of Dominica’s Botanic Gardens and the recent burst of discussion which
surrounds the issue.
This is worrying on all fronts. The fact that there even exists a plan for the ownership of the
gardens are disturbing, and we applaud all reasonable-thinking members of the public who have rightfully raised their voices in protest.
TUD advises citizens to remain vigilant, and we echo our call for a united front in tackling the stalemate in Dominica’s political leadership, on all fronts. We also urge the leaders of
government to tune in to the voice of the people.
Our team has envisaged and drawn out a plan for the sustained development of the Botanic
Gardens, and we will share this plan in due course. In the meantime, we employ our Dominican brothers and sister to own and defend this lovely green space on the boundaries of the City of Roseau.
