DBS celebrates its anniversary without a Board of Directors

As the Nation’s station celebrates its 52-second anniversary concerns continue to mount over the non-existence of a Board of Directors.

Nature Isle News (NIN) can confirm, that the term of the Roosie Mills-led board expired and is yet to be renewed.

“This is ridiculous, so long the term of the Board expired and nothing has happened the Manager is running things his way as if he is the Board,” a source close to the radio station disclosed.

We were also informed, that the manager took it upon himself not to pay directors their emoluments. “This is pure madness, for a manager to take on his own not to pay directors their emoluments, so it appears that he is in charge of the Board,” the source stated.

One Board member that NIN spoke with said that the matter of the board will soon be rectified.

It is also customary that the Chairman would give an address on the anniversary of the Radio Station but this year, he has not, since there is no board and he is not even sure if he will be retained.

All attempts made at reaching Roosie Mills have so far failed.
