Bombers continue good form

Former champions LA Enterprises Bombers FC has continued its good form since the resumption of play after the COVID -19 pandemic which forced the suspension of the various leagues and competitions.

The Portsmouth based club maintained the record as the only club yet to suffer a defeat since the football action resumed 6 weeks ago.

In their latest encounter of the Dominica Football Association (DFA) Premier Division League played on Saturday at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, the Bombers fought off a strong challenge from Belfast Estate Mahaut Soca Strikers. In a keenly contested affair, the former champions edged out their opponents by three goals to two.

For the winners, Ursher George netted twice while the other goal came from Jamie Parillon. Doing the scoring for Soca Strikers FC were Jerran Sebastien and Francis Luke with a goal apiece.

In the second encounter on Saturday, Promex Harlem United continued the misery for Exodus FC with 11 goals to one pounding in the one-sided affair.  For Harlem, Tyrel Grell was in excellent form as he found the back of the net five times. Kristof Jervier scored two goals with Audel Laville and Brandel Richards and Delbert Graham scoring one goal each.

Kish Toussaint scored the lone goal for his club.

On Sunday in the lone encounter, Happi Bath Estate FC kept their championship hopes alive with three goals to one victory over Petro Caribe Pointe Michel. Anderson Lawrence converted two goals, one on either half. The other goal was scored by Anfernee Frederick who came in as a substitute in the second half of play

The other scheduled encounter between East Central FC and Central Cooperative Credit Union LTD Dublanc FC was called off due to soggy conditions at the WPSS. This encounter will be rescheduled.

In results from the Division One League, Middle Ham United FC continued its quest to return to the Premier Division with two goals to one win over Petro Caribe Pointe Michel at the Almond Park in Dublanc. Shakeem Gregoire and Jervan Matthew scored for the winner. Turran Toussaint scored for Pointe Michel FC.

On Sunday at the Castle Bruce Playing Field, WE United FC and BAA Sharks FC played to a three-all draw. Jamal Green, Kliene Thomas, and Robert Charles scored one goal each for BAA Sharks FC.

For WE United FC, Mark Lronin, Roosevelt Coipel and Jervon Henry scored one each.
