Former champions LA Enterprises Bombers FC has continued on its winning spree after notching up yet another victory.
In the first match of a doubleheader on Sunday at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, Bombers secured their fourth win in as many matches when the defeated Promex Harlem United as the action continued in the DFA Premier Division League.
Romario Burgins continued his excellent goal scoring form as he netted all three goals in the 9th, 12th, and 57th minutes of play. Idonie Samuel and Tyrell Grell scored one goal each for Harlem. The defeat has left the former champions winless in their last three outings.
In the afternoon’s second encounter Exodus secured their first point of the season when they held WE United FC to a one-all draw. Michael Gasper scored for WE United in the first half to enjoy a one-nil advantage at the interval. Nolani Joseph scored for Exodus in the 58th minute of play for his club.
In the other matches played over the weekend, on Saturday at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, East Central came from one-nil down to defeat Petro Caribe Pointe Michel FC by two goals to one. Perry Charles scored for Pointe Michel in the 19th minute while substitute Starrel Serapine scored both goals for his club in the 68th and 85th minutes of play.
Also on Saturday defending champions, Sagicor South East FC and Happi Bath Estate played to a one-all draw. Anderson Lawrence scored for Bath Estate FC while captain Joslen Prince got the equalizer for his club 4 minutes from time to cancel Lawrence’s 55th-minute strike.
In more football action, in the Division One on Sunday at Castle Bruce Playing Field, East Central FC defeated Dublanc FC by four goals to nil. Ronaldo Graneau, Jason James, Westmoore Tulloch, and Deshaun James scored one goal each for the winners.
In another Division One encounter, ACS Tarish United FC edged out Police Sports club by one goal to nil on Saturday at the Newtown Savannah. Fabio Roberts scored the lone goal of the encounter in the 65th minute of play.
At the Newtown Savannah, Middleham United defeated All Saints FC by two goals to one on Sunday.
