WE United FC skipper admitted to hospital

Captain of the WE United FC football team Michael Caspar was kept overnight at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) after he suffered head injuries in a game against Exodos FC at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium on August 16, 2020.

Against the run of play in the dying seconds of the game, Caspar collided with the Exodus goal-keeper in attempting to head the ball in the goal.

Medical officials at the game had to rush to his assistance to stabilize him. The ambulance was called and he was taken to the PMH where he was treated and remains a patient in a stable condition.

On its Facebook page, the WE United FC team thanked all those who assisted and stated that Caspar was in “high spirits, conscious and was admitted for further observation.”
