Candle light vigil held in honour of the late Daniel Panthier

They came from all over the island and braved the inclement weather to the Candle Light vigil in Pointe Michel on March 11, 2022, to celebrate the life of 24-year-old Daniel Panthier who died last month a few days after his 24th birthday.

For the People of Pointe Michel Daniel Panthier was a “small giant”. Always smartly and neatly dressed he was always willing to help and lend his support where ever and whenever possible.

Witty and with a strong political heart he was always willing to take on anyone who dared challenge him when he knew he was “on point.”

Those who eulogized him described him as “a humble, quiet, friendly and well-mannered young man.”

Some could not hold back the tears as they spoke about their association with him and how his sudden death has provided a “void” in their life.

Deacon Jeffers Paul added his voice and talent singing several renditions during the night that many described as “touching.”
