Cricket action resumes

After a lengthy break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cricket action will return this weekend at two venues on the island.

The Dominica Cricket Association (DCA) has announced the resumption of play in the Augustus Gregoire Premier Division League.

In the first match at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth, Grand Bay Credit Union Colts will come up against the St. Paul’s Academy. This encounter is expected to feature Windward Island batsman Alick Athanzae while the St. Paul’s Academy will benefit from the services of the national player, Micah Joseph.

At the Botanic Gardens in Roseau, Tyron Theophille will lead the charge for former champions Tremors as they face Gian Benjamin and the Marinor Blasters.

Both matches are of two-day duration and will commence at 10 am on both days.
