Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles
Valid from: 6:00 AM on Wednesday, December 7, 2022
Surface level high pressure is becoming the dominant feature. A relatively dry atmosphere is likely to limit significant shower activity across the island during the next 24 hours.
Moderate seas are anticipated as a low-pressure system strengthens in the northern Atlantic. Northerly swells peaking to 7.0ft are expected along the north through the eastern coastline during the next 24 hours. A High Surf Advisory is in effect. Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution.
Further deterioration in sea conditions is expected from Thursday, with swells possibly increasing to near 12ft by Friday. All marine users should be on alert.
