Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

A high-pressure system is expected to result in relatively dry conditions over Dominica today, while a tropical wave will continue to produce showers and thunderstorms across the southern portion of the Lesser Antilles. Available low-level moisture is expected to increase the chance of showers over the island later tonight. Â
A slight dust haze is expected to linger in the area throughout the week.
Slight to moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 to 48 hours, with waves peaking to 5.0ft in eastern coastal waters.
