Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

A high pressure system will remain dominant across the island today and significant shower activity is not expected. However, a southward moving cold front, now affecting the northern portion of the Lesser Antilles, is expected to gradually increase the chance of cloudiness and showers, mainly from tonight and into the weekend.
Slight to moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 hours, with swells peaking near 7.0ft, along the eastern coastline. A High Surf Advisory remains in effect for above normal seas, in Dominica coastal waters. Small-craft operators and sea-bather should exercise caution. Further deterioration in sea conditions is expected on Saturday, with waves near 10.0ft.
