Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

A gradual increase in moisture and instability is expected across the area during the next 24 to 48 hours. This is expected to support an increase in cloudiness and the chance of shower activity over the island, particularly from later tonight and into tomorrow.
A Saharan dust plume is expected to persist throughout the week. People with respiratory sensitivities should take the necessary precautions to avoid complications.
Slight to moderate seas are anticipated during the next 24 to 48 hours, with waves peaking to 5.0ft in eastern coastal waters. Mariners should exercise caution for periods of low visibility in haze.
