Kyle Delsol went on a goal-scoring spree as he helped his club crush their opponents in the last match of the preliminary stage of the 2022 Dominica Football Association Patrick John Cup. In a rescheduled encounter on Wednesday at the Stock Farm Sports Complex, Delsol found the back of the net on six occasions as the Police Sports Club easily brushed aside Trafalgar FC in a one-sided affair. Also getting in on the action was Darren Delsol with two goals of his own. Andy St. Rose added one goal while the other goal came via the own goal route. The lone goal for Trafalgar FC was converted by Terrylle Rolle.
With the win, Police Sports Club qualified for the playoff round to determine which club will occupy the 16th and final spot in the knockout phase.
Meanwhile, a total of 15 club shave qualified for the knout-out phase of the Patrick John Cup. The qualifying clubs are We United FC, South East FC, and DS FC from Group A. The Group B qualifiers are Tranquility Beach Middle Ham United FC, Promex Harlem United, and BAA Sharks FC. Coming from Group C, the qualifiers are Petro Caribe Pointe Michel FC, St. Joseph FC, and Glanvillia FC. Central Cooperative Credit Union LTD Dublanc FC, Mahaut Soca Strikers FC, and Calibishie Diaspora FC have all qualified from Group D. The three other qualifiers from Group E are East Central FC, Bath Estate FC, and All Saints FC.
Premier Division clubs LA Stars FC and LA Enterprises Bombers FC did not gain an automatic qualification from the group stage and will now have to enter a playoff race. The winner of the playoff will join the other 15 clubs in the knockout round.
