Dominican broadcast Journalist Steinberg Henry receives a Ph.D. from Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts

Dominican broadcast journalist, communicologist, and writer Steinberg Henry has received a Ph.D. from Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Stein as he is fondly known, received his degree in Educational Studies with a specialization in Human Development and Learning.

His dissertation which was defended on March 27, 2023, explored the experiences of adult learners who are visually impaired and how their active imagination supported their well-being and ways of seeing. Steinberg Henry is visually impaired.

Dr henry intimated to Nature Isle News (NIN) that the dissertation defense was witnessed by Dominicans Dr. Adis King, Dr. Joann Jolly-Raphael, Dr. Curtis Jolly, Royette Greenaway, Tyrella Alexander, and Dr. Seraphine Cognet.

Dr. Henry’s Ph.D. gives him broad experience in human development from childhood to adulthood, and ways in which learning can be made easier with innovative methodologies that tap into the imaginations of all.

The well-known media practitioner and the trainer told Nature Isle News that he would continue to work with and for media, in educational research, motivating persons with disabilities, particularly the blind, and hopefully teaching children who are blind and sighted to visualize and picture. Of course, his work with sighted people will not only continue but will also be intensified. In fact, Dr. Henry contended, if anything, that the sighted need to be motivated and encouraged to care for their bodies, minds, and eye(s) even more, given the universal move to integrating these entities.
