Four teams qualify for semis

A total of four clubs have qualified for the semifinal round of the Dominica Football Association, Central Cooperative Credit Union under 15 football league.

The clubs booked their spot in the last four with quarterfinal wins last weekend. On Saturday at the La Plaine playing field, Connect 767 East Central FC defeated Sagicor South East FC by four goals to nil. Turie Christmas found the back of the net twice while there was one goal each for Nickayel Laurent and Andre Francis. Turie Christmas was named as the DOC player of the game.

In another encounter on Saturday at the Almond Park in Dublanc, Goodwill Runners FC made light work of ACS Pottersville Tarish United FC by seven goals to one. Giovanni George stole the spotlight with four goals while Chance Marshall with two goals was also on the scoring sheet. Avery Jno Baptiste scored the other goal. George was named as the DOC player of the game.

On Sunday A & L Construction LTD Bombers FC and NJFA Harlem United also advanced to the next round. Harlem defeated BAA Sharks FC by six goals to one at Almond Park in Dublanc. Noah Sorhaindo scored two goals. Kendel Simon, Angel Bellot, and Medewick Garraway scored one each. The other goal came from the boots of a Sharks FC player. Jonathan George scored for BAA Sharks FC. Noah Sorhaindo was named as the DOC player of the game.

The Benjamin Park in Portsmouth saw the home team defeat Petro Caribe Pointe Michel FC by two goals to one. Jeydan Lockhart scored both goals for the winners. Diamond Dominique was the goal scorer for Pointe Michel FC. Jeydan Lockhart was named the player of the Game.
