The French authorities are now on the island helping in the search and rescue efforts of 12-year-old Kernisha Etienne who has now been missing for three days after she was kidnapped by Kian Alexander.
During the week, the authorities in Martinique came with a helicopter after a request was made by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.
So far, hundreds of civilians have made themselves available in the search and rescue effort of the 12-year-old who is yet to be found.
Many have issued public statements while others have gone to social media to appeal for her safe return and condemn the action of Alexander who is described by the police as “a suspected lunatic.”
