After three weeks of action, Middleham United FC occupies the top position in the points standings. After securing four points from their first two matches played, the Cochrane-based team moved to seven points on Saturday at Almond Park in Dublanc in the DFA Premier Division League.
National player, Marcellus Bonney scored the lone goal which separated the two clubs as he netted in the 41st minute of play over two times defending champions Sagicor South East FC. Bonney was named the player of the game. Also on Saturday, Blue Waters Bath Estate FC made it two wins in as many matches with a one-goal-to-nil triumph over Connect 767 East Central FC. Eustace Marshall scored in the 92nd minute of play. Marshall was named the player of the game.
On Sunday at the Almond Park in Dublanc, Petro Caribe Pointe Michel suffered their third consecutive defeat as they went down by four goals to two at the hands of Harlem United. Odel Laville netted twice to be named the player of the game. Donan Jervier and Yvertson Xavier scored one goal each. Randolph Peltier and Malachi Labad were the scorers for Pointe Michel. At Benjamin Park, LA Starz FC and Bombers FC played to a nil-all draw.
On Friday, Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC made full use of home advantage as they defeated Valvoline WE United by six goals to nil. Savio Anselm and Travist Joseph scored two goals each. Tristan Shillingford scored one goal. The other goal came from the boots of a WE United FC player. Savio Anselm was named the player of the game.
