National players show good form 

National player Javed George was in excellent form as he scored at will last weekend in the 2022 Dominica Football Association President’s Cup. George had the hot feet as he piloted Patrick John Cup champions Sagicor South East FC to an emphatic victory in Group C on Saturday at the Stock Farm Complex. The national player registered six goals in the 12 goals to one win over Trafalgar FC. National under 20 player Adriel Lawrence was also in the action as he scored four goals. Kenny Jno Baptiste and Andre Darroux with one goal each were also on the score sheet. The lone goal for Trafalgar FC was converted by Simon Eugene. 

In another encounter on Saturday, Promex Harlem United found the going extremely easy as they made light work of Island Gemz Jimmit Ballers FC in a Group D encounter also at the Stockfarm Sports Complex. National striker Audel Laville scored four goals while there was one goal each for Christophe Jervier, Daniel Castendo, Yveeterson Xavier, Shemiah Andrew, Dillon Augustine, and Nick Anthony. 

On Sunday, the goal-scoring spree continued as a total of nine goals were scored between Central Cooperative Credit Union Dublanc FC and LA Stars FC in a Group A encounter. In the end, it was the former Premiere League champions, Dublanc FC, that emerged as the winner with five goals to four margin. McCorney Royer scored a hat trick and national player Travist Joseph scored one. The other goal came courtesy of a South East FC player. Doing the scoring for LA Stars FC were Rick Blaize, Ridge Blaize, Shem Abraham, and an own goal.  

In the other match played on Sunday at Benjamin Park in Portsmouth, St. Joseph FC got the better of Itassi United FC in Group E by two goals to nil. Linton Marshall and Rick Wayland scored one goal each for the winners. 

Belfast Estate Mahaut Soca Strikers FC defeated Kensborough by seven goals to nil in a Group B encounter.
