Davidson “Observer” Victor has been retained as the President of the Dominica Calypso Association (DCA). The general membership held its general meeting last weekend at the Calypso House in Bath Estate.
At that meeting the following persons were elected on the executive Arthur “Bassie” Pascal, Abel “Checko” Jno Baptiste, Daryl “De Bobb” Bobb, Davidson “Observer” Victor, Emmanuel ” Haxey” Salamart, Shirley “Lady S” Charles, Narrin “Trendsetter” Murphy, Dereck “Hunter” St. Rose, and Murphy “Sye” Jno Jules.
Based on the constitution of the DCA the executive positions has to be chosen among the members elected at the first meeting of the executive.
That meeting was held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, and Davidson “Observer” Victor was returned to the post of President with his deputy being Shirley “Lady S” Charles, Bobb remains as Secretary, and Trendsetter as treasurer. Checko the newest member on the executive is the assistance secretary/treasurer and Haxey PRO.
Hunter and Bassie are executive members with Sye as “Special Advisor.”
