Police in Dominica says that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Patrickson Thomas of Portsmouth.
According to Police Inspector Fixton Henderson, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at about 2:30 pm, Thomas aged 62 years left his home en route to Canefield driving his Suzuki Jeep at the time.
“He did not return home that day and the following day he was reported missing by his wife, his vehicle was discovered and partly submerged at sea in an area near the shoreline at Bioche,” Henderson stated.
“His body was also discovered at sea in the same area away from the vehicle with multiple injuries…it was recovered from the sea by officers of the Dominica Coast Guard and was subsequently examined and pronounced dead at the Fond Cole Health Center.”
Inspector Henderson disclosed that the body is being kept at a funeral home pending an autopsy. He also on behalf of the rank and file of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force extend condolences to the family. He is also urging persons with any information about this incident to contact the police.
