A mid-afternoon fire on Cross Street between the Bethesda Methodist and the Roseau Cathedral was quickly placed under control with no casualties.
Nature Isle News (NIN) was on the scene when fire officials arrived as the flames intensified. However, they were quick in dealing with the matter.
According to an eyewitness, an individual labeled as “a para” was the one responsible for the fire saying that he was “going to cook.”
Two pots with items for cooking were also visible. The police were also on the scene but the eyewitness said as the fire blazed the “para” made good his escape.
In the end, all is well that ends well.
